What we collect

When you create an account: your email address and a username. When you use the site: the arguments, quotes, comments, and votes you post, all of which are tied to your account and, unless otherwise noted, visible to other users. Basic technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) is collected automatically for security and to understand how the site is used.

What we do not do

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your email for anything beyond account access, password resets, and — if you opt in — product updates.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage (which pages get visited, roughly how many people, general location by country/region). This data is not tied to your account identity on our end.

What is public

Arguments, quotes, comments, and your username are public by design — this is a public debate platform. Your email address is never shown publicly. Votes on debates are shown in aggregate only; individual votes are not displayed against your name.

Your data, your choice

You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your personal information; public contributions (arguments, quotes, comments) may remain, attributed to a removed account, so the debate record stays intact.

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will post the update here with a new date at the top.
